apan Airlines (JAL) has set a policy to acquire the Japanese company of LCC Spring Airlines (Narita City, Chiba Prefecture) and take it as a merger subsidiary, nikkei.com reported on April 26. JAL plans to invest billions of yen more in June to acquire more than half of the company.
Spring Airlines Japan was established by China Spring Airlines in 2012. Spring and Autumn Airlines is a major shareholder, and JAL also contributes. Based on Narita Airport, Spring Airlines Japan operates Narita new millennium, Narita Hiroshima, Narita saga routes in Japan, and Narita Tianjin, Narita Harbin routes between China and Japan.
